The Competition in the VIOLA category has already found out the names of the musicians qualified to perform in ROUND II!
The viola players have competed for a place in the next round over the past two days. Contestants performed movements of one of the suites Op. 131d by Max Reger and one part of sonatas by Paul Hindemith.
Over the course of the past two days, we witnessed 31 excellent viola performances. The Martinů Hall at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts hosted amazing musicians, however, only 12 of them can qualify for a place in ROUND II. Therefore, the jury decided on the candidates we will further see competing in ROUND II, and then possibly for the laureate title – their names are listed as follows:
