French horn – contestants advancing to the Round II
ROUND I of the FRENCH HORN category has just come to an end!
From the 7th of May we were able to see 48 participants from all around the world performing 1st and 2nd movement of Concerto No. 5 in F major by Jan Václav Stich Punto, En Foret or Sur les Cimes by Eugene Bozza or Villanelle for French Horn and Piano by Paul Dukas.
The jury has decided that the 13 contestants will advance to the Round II. The contestants advancing are following (in alphabetical order):

Just like in the previous round, you are kindly invited to attend and support the contestants competing on the 10th May in ROUND II at National House of Vinohrady. During the Round II, the contestants will choose one of the concertos by Christoph Förster, Johann Joachim Quantz or Georg Philip Telemann. Furthermore, each contestant must perform Adagio und Allegro by Robert Schumann and newly composed piece for IMC Prague Spring 2024 Three Prague Escapes by Kryštof Marek. In the case that you will not be able to attend but still would like to listen to the performance, the whole Round II will be streamed online on the Prague Spring YouTube channel.
