The winners of the PIANO category announced

We know the winners!

Tonight we welcomed in the Dvořák hall of the Prague Rudolfinum the finalists of the PIANO category. Today evening was in the spirit of the PIANO finals. Throughout the evening we could have heard the compositions by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Ludwig van Beethoven. 

The contestants gave out all they could on the stage and the jury took long to decide, but there can only be one winner. 

The prizes were awarded as follows: 

1st prize Dongha Lee from Republic of Korea 

2nd prize ex aequo Jaeyoung Lee from Republic of Korea and Matouš Zukal from the Czech Republic

3rd prize was not awarded 

The winner Dongha Lee was also awarded the following prizes: Prize of the City of Prague to the most successful laureate and the Czech Music Fund Foundation Prize for the best performance of the piece commissioned by Jana Vöröšová for the IMC Prague Spring 2021.

The jury awarded Vojtěch Trubač with the honorable mention. 

The Gideon Klein Foundation Prize awarded to the most successful Czech participant in the entire competition went to Matouš Zukal.
