A monumental work titled 11,000 Strings for fifty pianos arranged in a circle and tuned in microtones, accompanied by Klangforum Wien.
The cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach reflect a richness of culture that has no parallel in European musical history. Ton Koopman, one of the greatest authorities on Bach who, will together with his ensembles present three works in the genre.
A monumental composition by Georg Friedrich Haas for fifty pianos arranged in a circle and microtonally tuned to accompany the Klangforum Wien
The Czech Philharmonic with Josef Špaček under the direction of David Robertson will perform works of Czech classics. The European premiere of Srnka's Superorganisms will also be heard.
