Prague Spring Competition 2018 / List of prize-winners

The Prague Spring Competition is officially over but let’s take a moment and look back at the week full of performances of young artists who came to participate from all over the world.

This year’s competition was held in two categories – CELLO and FRENCH HORN.

For being accepted to the competition, candidates had to satisfy all the requiered conditions, as well as make a recording to be accepted to the Round I. There were 59 candidates in each category selected based on those recordings by the Competition Committee.

The jury often had a hard decision-making but these candidates passed to the Finals.

In the CELLO category, the finalist were Julia Hagen, Gunwoo Park, Václav Petr and Oleksiy Shadrin.

The finalists of the FRENCH HORN category were Paweł Cal, Alexandre Collard, Milena Viotti and Yun Zeng.

The Prize Giving Ceremony took place on 15th of May at Brožík’s Hall at the Old Town Hall where laureates recieved all their prizes and also other candidates were awarded.
